Can somebody help me please? You're looking in the right place, but try adjusting the 'System distance' instead in the same dialog box. You might find it useful to open one of the demo scores and then experiment with various settings. It must be that people have ask this question before - perhaps someone could lead me to a good siscussion about it. I play in a band. In that environment, fewer page turns is always best! But MuseScore sets the spacing between systems and between staffs within a system very wide. I could put 2 - 3 times that much score on a page. I understand stretch is left and right on the page.

Until there's detailed documentation inrease every setting, that's probably the best way to see their effect upon the the specific elements of the score that they control. Okay so I need there to be space between clef lines so I can fit more notes without the treble notes overlapping the bass notes. As you can see in the picture, there is a great distance between the treble clef line and the bass clef line. I assume its called adjusting the height of something, but I can't find where to do it. Sep 02, · there you can change the space between say two instruments also if it gets too spacey you can increase or decrase the overall struture to fit say a certain number of pages. you can go that by going and selecting everything so: apple a, then go into LAYOUT and then either increase or decrease stretch. hope this helps. I'm in the process of learning MuseScore, and will then migrate over, with Finale stopping further suppport for their PrintMusic. I've exported a score from PrintMusic as mxml, and successfully imported into MuseScore. I'm realizing it might be a good idea to make the line spacing and notes bigger on my lead sheets. I've read what I can find in the handbook and had an attempt at different things. I first tried stave properties, and increased line distance, which seems to be what I want, but then the notes then were not displayed properly on the newly bigger spaced lines.

This is as basic as it gets but I am not managing to make it work. I simply want to change the distance between my lines of music. The example is in very early form but you will see that the space between the lines ie between the lyrics and the next line of music is unnecessarily large. I am coming back to Musescore after a couple of years and am pretty rusty as well as having upgraded to 2. I am sure there is a very simple way to do this, help would be much appreciated.
